i just want to mention ieomthsng. i had a keratin treatment done once a sort of high-class blowout before a wedding. it was really pretty and left my hair healthy. but for people with really curly hair: it does NOT last. like, not at all. after you wash your hair, it’s curly again. maybe a LITTLE less curly for a few weeks, and a little easier to straighten when i tried. a little. but it does NOT provide a blowout that lasts for those of us curly-curls. the press kind of makes it sound like it will give you blown-out-looking hair for a month or three months (depending on the treatment); it doesn’t really work like that. at least, didn’t for me. hi sonya!

Girl – my hair type is very similar to yours. My hair is wkcied curly underneath and nearly frizzy straight on top. I haven’t ever done Keratin, only because I am so phobic of the chemicals/protein, whatever they want to call it. But, I discovered a product that has changed my summers. Have you ever used Phyto Anti-frizzant? I order it on Amazon. It’s made in Italy for the extremely frizzy, thick, coarse hair of Italian women. It takes all the frizz out of my hair, so it looks better curly, and when I blow it out straight, it is so smooth and soft I never even use my flat iron anymore! When your hair heals, you may want to give it a try

OMGoodness! that is horrible. I have thin hair & funny clkoicws… and tons of white hair. but I do leave it natural to give my hair a break , like when growing out a perm, I normally use semi-perm color so there is less roots to show when I color myself. Hope you get back to a healthy head of hair soon!~Faythe
